One Liner Wednesday’s

on June 25, 2015

I’m lying here reflecting on something funny my oldest son said to me this week. He’s quite a handsome boy and he gets along well with his classmates. One in particular was batting eyes at him and said I want to be your girlfriend and go on a date. My son was so perplexed he replied “I’m not even 46 I can’t even deal with that right now!” Oh did I ever giggle, great answer son don’t ever be in too much of a hurry to grow up. 😉

This has been my submission to Linda G Hill One Liner Wednesday. Please check out all the inspiration, and humour of everyone who links up. Thank you. 😘❤️

Well done to your boy for not wanting to grow up too fast. I told my daughter when she was younger that I wouldn’t mind if she kept playing with Barbies until she was 17.

Yes I agree Mike, be in no rush to be a grownup! I tell my kids this all the time. It broke my heart at the age of 8 when my Captain told me he wasn’t a toy kid anymore. I refused to believe that, and continued buying him Lego and building it till he joined in. 😉

  2. Love this. Kids grow up so fast (and want to grow up fast). So wonderful your son wants to enjoy his time being a child. 🙂

Yes it’s such a dilemma isn’t it Carl? I want him to enjoy this special time in his life. And all the other kids around him are rushing towards a finish line. I tell my son there’s a long line of bills and responsibilities at the end of that race. So breathe, laugh, love, and live to be a child. ☺️
