Release Blitz and Solis book review by L.B. Dunbar (writing as Elda Lore)

Title: Solis
Series: Modern Descendants #2
Author: Elda Lore (L.B. Dunbar writing as)
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: January 30, 2017
Blurb

Veva Matron is a feisty girl raging with suppressed anger and distrust of men.

Solis Cronus is a blindingly beautiful, Greek god of a guy, who likes to play women.

An electric hatred thunders through each of them about the other until one night, lightning strikes. A world of secrets reveals the destiny of two at odds with one another, and clouds the line between love and hate. Can a lively girl find calm in the stormy tension of a boy made of sunshine and sin?

The mythical tale of Zeus and Hera reignites in this modern interpretation of enemies to lovers. Full of flirty sexual angst and teasing temptation, Solis might be the one man who can extinguish Veva’s angry fire and ignite a different sort of flame: desire.

Solis Book Review

I have to share my heart was captured when I first read Hades by LB writing as Elda Lore. She took my love of Greek Mythology and the supernatural and turned it into something magical for my eyes and ears to experience! I was eager to read the continuation in Solis and soon fell in love with the book’s new characters. I love a strong female character in whatever genre I’m reading. Seeing what made Viva tick and how her upbringing left her jaded towards men made me feel a kingship with her. Before I met and fell in love with my husband I felt this way myself. She always preferred to be the heartbreaker than being heartbroken. Then along comes Solis Cronus who’s a gorgeous blonde Greek God who exudes sexuality and confidence. She has no time for him as her main concern is enjoying her summer break with her best friend Persephone. Who’s heartbroken after her love Hades returns to the Underworld without her. The story of the Modern Descendants flows beautifully from the introduction of Solis and his family to the conclusion of who will fall in love, lust, or out of Zeke Cronus’ good graces.  Secrets, love affairs, mythology, and modern times mix together to entice the reader and leave them eagerly awaiting the next sequel to the Modern Descendants series. I loved this book and look forward to losing myself in the next adventure of Hephateus coming soon.

P.T.Macais’ Book series Sugar’s Fate and Seizing Fate Review

Today I’m going to be reviewing the book Sugar’s Fate by P.T. Macais. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her before on her Spring Blog Tour hop Love is in the Air. So I was thrilled to sign up to get to actually read her book and let you know what I think.

Review of Sugar’s Fate

If you haven’t read P.T.’s books before I will suggest you buckle up for a fast and wild ride. In the paranormal genre that I love to read she sets the story with us meeting the main characters Artemis Evans and Easton Macenzie. She can’t explain why she’s been having these strange and erotic dreams since she hit puberty. Little does she know that Easton is plagued by the same dream. It’s their mystery that P.T. let’s the reader start to unravel. And when you do wow, what a hot thrill ride awaits! Artemis meets her mate in Easton and their world is turned upside with their sexual intensity and the inner wolf growling inside. I love P.T. Macais’ use of descriptive language in her writing. I really felt like I was in the main characters heads. Feeling their intense feeling and wrapped up in their emotions of love, lust, and gratitude after having finding their mate at last. I really enjoyed this book. It moves fast, and you have to catch your breath. Easton’s character doesn’t mess around with playing the dating game. He’s a wolf and his primal nature is at the forefront of his mind, and he goes after what he wants like a true Alpha male. Due to the highly sexual nature of this amazing, descriptive, book it’s rated for an 18 + mature audience.

Seizing Fate
The story picks up where we left Artemis and Easton’s love affair and her discovery that she’s a hybrid part human, and part wolf. As the book left off with Artemis fighting for her life Easton is intent on protecting his beloved mate and their cub. This brings the Mackenzie family together to meet the Evans family. And our two new characters Grant (Easton’s cousin) and Kymberly (Artemis cousin). The scene is set for the family’s to join in the celebration of Easton and Artemis’ engagement. As soon as Grant and Kymberly meet they are made aware of their wolf mate attraction. He resists because of their age difference but there’s no denying the wolves need to bond with his mate. Soon your swept up in their lusty love affair and taken on an exciting ride of love, power, sex, and intrigue. Like in the previous book Sugar’s Fate the content is of a highly sexual nature and intended for an 18 + mature rating. I loved getting to know these characters and reading the paranormal genre is my first love. Wolves, mates, love, and lust and passion are wrapped up in this series P.T. Macais rocks and knocks it out the park with this exciting book series!

Book Review for Being Nobody and Becoming Somebody

I had the good fortunate of beta reading for the author Heather D’Augustino I was really happy to be able to read both sequels in the Witness series. I first read Being Nobody and was introduced to the main character. These books had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t want the first book to end and I couldn’t wait to continue the story of the main character Mallory in Becoming Somebody Book 2 :

My Review for Becoming Nobody

I received this book as an ARC for my honest opinion. I’m so happy I had an opportunity to read this book. From the first page in the prologue I was hooked on learning Mallory’s story. Due to her Dad witnessing a crime the police put him and his whole family into the Witness Protection Program. Mallory (who’s really Samatha) changes homes, schools, jobs, and identity’s like she changes her underwear. From the age of 7 to 17 she’s on the run hiding out from this gang that is stalking them from state to state. She falls in love with Devlin and her world becomes confusing. Mallory has yet to move again and leave her first love behind. Soon she’s an adult living on her own and still wrapped up in her life as Mallory. One day a beautiful but dangerous man walks into the bar she’s working in. Mallory’s world is turned upside down and cue hot, sexy, discovery of her world meeting Brian’s. Will Mallory learn to trust him, will Brian let her into his heart and into his secretive world? Or will all their secrets threaten to tear them and their emerging relationship apart? Well you’ll just have to read it and find out! Keep in mind there are detailed, sex scenes and this book is suited for a mature audience. I loved this book, plot, characters, and premise for the story to develop. I’m looking forward to reading the sequel Becoming Somebody in the Witness series.

Becoming Somebody

What happens when everything you thought you knew suddenly changes with a few simple words?

When Samantha Connelly fell hard for the one person that could rip her world apart she wasn’t prepared for the bomb he would later drop on her. With a few words, Brian completely turned her world upside down and sent her into an emotional spiral.

Forced to leave town once again, she begged him to come with her…pleaded with him to choose her…to love her, but Brian had his own agenda that he couldn’t deviate from.

What happens when two people who are meant for each other are forced apart with no reunion in sight? How do you recover from the reality that you may never see one another again? How do you go back to being a nobody when all you want in life is to be somebody to someone?

My Review for Becoming Somebody

I received this ARC for my honest review. I was happy to read the sequel to Being Nobody. The Cliff hanger at the end of the book had me wanting more! We start the book off with Mallory living in Las Vegas and carrying on as normally as she can. Time passes and in four years she’s found someone to share her bed. I wondered if she could ever share her heart with anyone but Brian. She receives a phone call that changes her life and heads back to Chicago to start over as Samatha. She’s intent on picking up where she left off and finding Brian. There’s a lot of twists and turns in the book. Will Samatha find Brian and rekindle the flame of their love. Only time will will tell so you’ll have to read this book. Another great read from H D’augustino that I devoured in one evening. I’m looking forward to reading more in the Witness series, and discovering new characters. Once again like the prequel this book has adult themes, sexually charged language, and is for mature audiences.

Thank you Heather and her PA Angie for letting me part of this blog tour. I look forward to reading more adventures in the Witness Series.
