Ten Things of Thankful

This is going to be a fast and furiously typed post because I have less than 30 minutes before the linkup expires with the TTOT linkup group. I missed last week as I couldn’t find the link and really the week went by in a blur I didn’t even realize it was Sunday! Have you had that kind of thing when you’ve been “catfished” into thinking it was certain day and it really wasn’t? Well as you ponder that thought I’ll get on with my thankfuls.
I’m thankful that the week went swimmingly well and I did less complaining than I have in a long time.

I’m thankful that I have a group I’m part of where we share our Facebook posts about learning what’s a lesson and what’s a blessing. It’s made me see the course of my day in a whole different and enlightening way. If you’d like to join up just put the #lessonsandblessings on your social media posts.

I’m thankful for a wonderful 10 year anniversary celebration with my dear husband. ❤️

I’m thankful I was able to pull off a big surprise of a seafood buffet and a concert plus surprising my love with cake and balloons at his work. 😃

I’m thankful for an amazing evening spent rocking out with the band Trooper. Who after 40 years our still providing an entertaining, fun, and rocking experience all across Canada. 😃🍁❤️

I’m thankful for a magical night of love, laughter, and dancing with my love. We felt so carefree and had never gone out to celebrate our anniversary alone before.

I’m thankful for our amazing sitter and her lovely dog who looked after our kids and had a blast with them.

I’m thankful for getting to experience the Super moon lunar eclipse. Although it was cloudy I knew there was magic happening behind those clouds. I was fortunate enough to watch a live newsfeed that was streaming from the east coast.

I’m thankful for all the pictures and video that was shared of the eclipse. Even though my view wasn’t clear I kept thinking how we’re all connected throughout the world by looking at the same moon. 😊🌕🌟

I’m thankful for the love of my family and friends. Who no matter what calamity I’m facing in life they are there with their empowering hearts, minds, and always all encompassing love. 💞

Ten Things of thankful

It’s my favourite time of the week to link up for Lizzi’s TTOT blog hop. I’m so happy I’m able to participate as I had some WordPress app issues and my post kept getting “eaten” or not being able to upload pictures. Frustrating to say the least, but all is well and I’m back baby! 😉
1. I’m thankful for being able to admit my pain was a heavy burden and I reached out to friends. I was received with so much love, warmth, and kindness I had wished I had done it sooner.

2. I’m thankful for memories I have of my beloved friend that passed away recently. Even though I’ve  experienced grief so thick it’s felt like quicksand, I have loving memories to hold onto to, and a connection with her family. ❤️

3. I’m thankful I’ve been brave and ventured out of my comfort zone and made some new wonderful friends. It started out as a mystery friend in a Facebook group where I got to spend the last 3 months corresponding with her through cards, letters, and little gifts. The best part was I was a mystery to her and I made my big reveal a week ago. We exchanged texts and met up the next day. We found out we only live less than an hour away from each other. 😃

3. I’m thankful I have a beautiful home, a hard working husband, and really amazing children. They have loved me through my pain, tears, and grief with their love, laughter, and smiles. ❤️

4. I’m thankful that the weather has changed and warmer days and nights are upon us. I was able to get some yard work and some planting done while enjoying the sun.

5. I’m thankful for when I’m feeling lonely I just have to reach out and someone will be there. Whether that’s online, in person, or at the end of my phone. There’s comfort in knowing that when I feel really sad and out of sorts.

6. I’m thankful for my family for without them I wouldn’t feel strong enough to keep fighting through my struggles. They lift me up on angel wings when I forget how to fly.

7. I’m thankful for the sound of my children’s laughter. Hearing it as it wraps our home echoing in happiness and intensity, is like music to my ears.

8. I’m thankful for the people I have in my life filling it with love, laughter, support, and understanding. You all fill my nightly and daily prayers with gratitude for being a part of my happiness.

9. I’m thankful for old friendships being renewed again. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone last night catching up with a childhood friend I’ve known and loved for 30 years. We have recently moved closer to one another in the last year, and I’m so excited for our family’s to connect. 😃

10. I’m thankful for all you dear readers that come here each week to read my stories and comment and appreciate what I have to say. You make this the best part of my day, next to cuddles with my family. Thank you so much for filling my love bucket to the brim. ❤️

This has been my submission to   Lizzi’s TTOT I’m so thankful for wonderful her and her tribe that have welcomed me into not just a blog hop but a new way of thinking and appreciating everything in my life. 😃🌟

Ten Things of Thankful

Here I am today participating in Lizzi’s Ten Things of Thankful linkup. I started last week and I’m looking forward to sharing with you how very thankful I am to have this place to share.

1. I’m thankful that I was able to attend my beloved friend’s funeral this week. It was a very quick trip there and back, in four hours. It seemed almost like a dream I was there. Knowing I could say goodbye and God bless to her and her loved ones made my heart happy.

2. I’m thankful that husband was able to take the day off, pay for my flight, and drive me to the airport. He rearranged his schedule to suit my needs and there’s not enough adjectives to describe how much I love and appreciate him for who he is.

3. I’m so thankful that my lovely friend was able to pick me up at the airport when I arrived. Seeing her and her son’s smiling faces when they greeted me was such an incredible feeling. Going to our favourite place Starbucks like we used to do and catching up on list time was so wonderful and appreciated.

4. I’m very thankful I was able to share my acknowledgement and gratitude for my beloved friend at her service. Seeing all those faces looking at me as I shared my love and appreciation for how much I loved her and her family was very healing for me. My heart was as full as the overflowing, standing room only church congregation before me.

5. I’m thankful for the beautiful words of comfort that Paster Daniel coveyed in his service. Listening to his eulogy and seeing how my beloved friend touched so many hearts in the community was a blessing. She was loved by many and will be mourned and celebrated by many.

5. I’m thankful that I was able to see friends and family and pass along my condolences to them. The hugs and hellos were so appreciated from everyone and helped me to smile on such a sad day.

6. I’m thankful for my lovely friends giving heart, amazing friendship, and being able to see her and her children again. Having lunch with my other sweet friend catching up on our life events and hilarious antics of our son’s was so appreciated as well.

7. I’m thankful for my wonderful cousin driving me  back to the airport. Our conversation, companionship, and laughter was so needed and appreciated. Knowing I have family to reach out to after I move away is a gift.

8. I’m so thankful I was able to catch my plane with five minutes to spare before boarding! As we encountered construction and traffic on our way there. Sitting on my flight looking out the window as I flew over the farm lands and Rocky Mountains made me feel grateful for this beautiful view of my country.

9. I’m so thankful that I have this wonderful forum and group to share my gratitude in. Lizzi’s Ten Things of Thankful came into my life at a divine time I needed it and could appreciate it the most.

10. I’m so thankful that my family was there to meet me at the airport as I reached my destination. Seeing their smiles, feeling their love and hugs is so healing to my heart. Sharing my pain and vulnerabilities with them lets me know how very blessed I am.

This has been my submission to  Lizzi’s Ten Things of Thankful Thank you for being here today for me to share my thankfulness. Knowing I’m not alone as I grieve, and sail my boat on these choppy unchartered waters helps with healing my broken heart. ❤️
